Fantasy Racers 2010 Season – Introduction

My Fantasy Racers Team

There’s a great web page out there in cyberspace called www.fantasyracers.com . It basically puts you in the position of a Team Manager of your own virtual F1 team. With a set budget, you pick and chose your drivers to race for your team.  Once the drivers have been pciked you enter a league and see how well you do over the course of a season.  It uses real life results to determine your each of your drivers scoring for that racer.  They get so many points for winning a race, for getting pole for fastest lap and ech lap completed.  Full Details can be seen on the Fantasy Racers website.

I entered the Jordan F1 team in 2008 and 2009 seasons. This year I decided to make my team look more like an official F1 team by including sponsors. to make the  7Up Jordan Mercedes Brigdeston(e).

I guess the closest thing that would look my car would be the old Jordan 199 (As it has the correct tyres and Nose art) with the Irish Green main colour scheme of the Jordan 191. For a Car Launch the car would something like this:

JORDAN 210 CONCEPT

Of course I am going to call it the “Green Hornet”…

I am current considering running a six man team composed of :

Bruno Senna                     6.5 million
Heikki Kovalainen          7.0 million
Jarno Trulli                       7.0 million
Jose Maria Lopez            6.5 million
Timo Glock                        7.0 million

Available to spend 6.0 million  I am hoping that I can hire either Adam Carroll or Adrian Valles for  6.0 million or 6.5 million each and Heikki goes.

If not then, will I have some very sweet choices to make for a five man roster. My current thinking is to have:

Rubens Barrichello                              8.0 million
Nico Hulkenburg                                  8.0 million
Robert Kubica                                       8.0 million
Pedro De la Rosa                                  7.5 million
Adrian Sutil                                           7.5 million

Anyway, the 7Up Jordan Mercedes Bridgestone F1 Team looks forward to taking on all comers in the 2010 Fantasy Racers season.
